Feature · Conversion Funnels

See exactly where customers drop off — step by step

Build multi-step funnels from landing to purchase, spot the steps that bleed revenue, and replay the actual sessions of every visitor who didn't convert.

What's included

Visual funnel builder

Drag-and-drop steps like landing → product → add to cart → checkout → purchase. No SQL, no code — pick events or URLs and build the funnel in seconds.

Drop-off analysis at every step

See conversion and abandonment rates between every step, with the biggest leaks highlighted so you know where to focus first.

Linked session recordings

Click any drop-off point and watch real session recordings of the users who quit at that step — see the form error, slow load, or confusing button that lost the sale.

Segment by device, country, and source

Break down any funnel by mobile vs desktop, country, traffic source, or campaign to find where conversions differ and which segments need fixing.

Real-time on ClickHouse

Funnels are computed live on ClickHouse, so results update within seconds even on millions of events — no overnight batch jobs or stale dashboards.

How it compares

Like Mixpanel and Amplitude funnels, but tied directly to session recordings and A/B tests so you can both see and fix what's broken. Cheaper than Heap at the volumes Gulf stores actually run, and more e-commerce-focused than PostHog — built around carts, checkouts, and purchases rather than generic product events.

Frequently asked questions

How do conversion funnels work in Netaj?+

You define an ordered list of steps — usually events or page visits — and Netaj tracks every visitor moving through them. For each step you see how many people reached it, how many continued, and how many dropped. Behind the scenes the funnel runs as a real-time query on ClickHouse over your raw event stream.

Can I see recordings of users who dropped off?+

Yes — that's the whole point. Every funnel step shows a list of the sessions that abandoned at that point, and you can play them back with full rrweb replay: clicks, scrolls, form input (masked), errors and all. It turns a number on a chart into a concrete reason to fix.

How do I define the steps of a funnel?+

Each step is either a page URL (with wildcards if needed), a tracked event like add_to_cart or purchase, or a custom event you send from your store. You can also add filters per step — for example, 'checkout page where payment method = STC Pay'. Steps can be matched strictly in order or loosely within a session window.

Can I compare mobile vs desktop funnels side by side?+

Yes. Split any funnel by device, OS, browser, country, traffic source, campaign or any user property and see two (or more) funnels side by side. This is how most stores discover that, say, mobile checkout converts at half the rate of desktop — and then they jump straight into the recordings to figure out why.

How is this different from Google Analytics funnels?+

Google Analytics funnels (in GA4) are sampled, often delayed by hours, and stop at the chart — you can't watch what the dropped users actually did. Netaj funnels run on your unsampled raw events, update in seconds, and every drop-off is one click away from a session replay, a heatmap, or an A/B test you can launch to fix it.
