To start collecting data and running experiments, you first need to add your store as a website in Netaj. This is a one-time setup per domain.
1. Open the Websites page
From the dashboard sidebar, go to Websites and click Add website. You can have multiple websites under one organization — useful if you run a few stores or a staging environment alongside production.
2. Fill in the basics
- Name — what you'll see in the site picker. Free-form, e.g. "Main store".
- Domain — the bare hostname, no protocol or trailing slash. Example:
store.example.com. Don't includehttps://.
Subdomains are tracked separately. If you want both www and the apex to share data, add the bare domain (we automatically match the www variant).
3. Copy the tracker snippet
After saving, you'll see a one-line script tag — that's your tracker. Install it on your site and Netaj starts collecting events within seconds.
4. Verify
Open your store in a fresh tab. Within ~30 seconds, the website flips from Unverified to Verified in the dashboard. Until it's verified, experiments won't run on it — so don't skip this step.
